Covid Letter

Dear Milford Mill UMC Church family,

In the midst of the fear and panic of the Coronavirus (Covid-19), which has been labeled a pandemic by the World Health Organization, we want you to know that it is a real concern, not only to our Nation, but our local church as well.

While it is important to be informed, we know that there is an abundance of reports (sometimes contradictory and confusing) that can stimulate fear and uncertainty. It is important that we never look at any fact or statistic without seeing God’s involvement in our outcome. God’s word tells us:

Psalm 18:2

The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

 Psalm 91:9- 10

9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, 10 no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.

We want you to know that we will continue to hold our regularly scheduled services at Milford Mill United Methodist Church. We also want to assure you that we are dedicated to offering a clean and safe environment. We are taking extra precautions to aid in the safety of our environment. We will continue to monitor the situation daily. The Center for Disease Control has listed practical steps to help prevent illness, they can be found Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) | CDC. Let’s continue to use wisdom and see this virus defeated.

If you are not feeling well please stay home and join us online at www.milfordmillumc.org, www.youtube.com/milfordmillumc, or www.facebook.com/milfordmillunitedmethodistchurch.  Also, for those that may be in a high risk, age, demographic and/or you feel more comfortable staying home, we completely support you in that decision.

We love you and are praying for you.

Prayerfully Submitted,

Rev. Terri K. Williams

Pastor
